LIFE AND LEADERSHIP
LIFE
Where are you in your life journey?
Are you at the base of a mountain with no climbing gear?
Are at the top of the mountain and trying to do everything possible to stay there?
Or are you somewhere in between, not struggling, but not making much progress?
Whether it’s in your personal or professional life, I will work with you to remove roadblocks, spark new ideas, and motivate you to take the actions necessary to achieve YOUR definition of success
Youth
We have all been there. We have all experienced the joys and the travails of being a kid and a teenager. Obviously all of our experiences were not the same but I think we can all agree on one thing. The process of going from a child to an adolescent, and from and adolescent to a young adult, is challenging to say the least. Kids have so much more to navigate today than we did “back in the day” and as parents it’s our responsibility to provide them with the tools, the knowledge, and the support needed to best handle these critical, life-shaping transitions. My years of experience working with youth can be used to help your child with challenges such as:
Child/Parent relationships
Sibling relationships
Peer Pressure
Recognizing right from wrong
Effective communication
Parents
I have yet to come across a fool-proof, step by step manual that teaches adults how to become “perfect parents.” Unfortunately, the job of being a parent is one that must be learned on the fly. Whether you have 1 kid or 14 kids, you will never have all the answers; but together we can work through all of your parenting conundrums such as:
Parent/Child relationship
Difficult Parent/Child conversations
Family Dynamics
New parent anxiety
Effective communication
People without a college education
Your current education level does not define or confine you, unless you let it. Please do not be fooled into thinking that just because you don’t have a college degree that you have to continue to struggle to make ends meet or that you can’t achieve financial freedom. Oftentimes people without a college degree fall into a rut and accept their current professional and financial situation as the best they can do. As your coach my focus would be to:
Help you determine what your professional goals are and uncover the different pathways to achieving those goals
Discover your talents and gifts and explore how you can maximize those skills and use them to your advantage
Motivate you to allow yourself to want more and start taking steps toward a more fulfilling career and financial situation
Teachers and Healthcare Professionals
I have a great appreciation for people who dedicate their time and effort to educate and take care of others. Now, more than ever, teachers and healthcare professionals are shouldering the load of keeping our kids educated and keeping us all safe and healthy. These efforts do not go unnoticed and neither does the amount of inherent stress and anxiety attached to these professions.
As your life coach I would not only assist you in setting and reaching goals but I would also serve as an unbiased and neutral sounding board. There are times when we don’t want to work towards our goals or to be asked thoughtful questions. Sometimes all we need is for someone to listen and be present. During a Sounding Board session the environment is safe, judgement-free, and confidential; and the topics of discussion are entirely driven by you. Watch the video below for more information of how you could benefit from a Sounding Board discussion.
If you are a teacher or healthcare professional and you are interested in entering into a coaching relationship with me, ensure you list your profession in the questionnaire as you may be eligible for a reduced rate.
LEADERSHIP
Being effective parents, teachers, athletic coaches, and people managers takes work, but it all starts with caring about the people you lead. Together we will sharpen your leadership tools and techniques in order to become the leader you want to be and the leader that your followers need.
People Managers
Guidance for new and inexperienced Managers
Practice sessions for giving year-end reviews, written/verbal warnings, etc.
Developing techniques on how to make uncomfortable conversations less uncomfortable
Help setting and reaching personal leadership goals
Developing leadership skills (e.g. holding employees accountable for completing tasks)
Athletic Coaches
Motivation and encouragement
Coaching females versus coaching males (there is a big difference)
Handling parents
Developing team leaders
Developing team chemistry
Things to remember for Managers and Coaches:
When accountability is present blame does not exist. Replace blame with accountability.
Most great managers and coaches are great communicators
A delayed thoughtful response is better than a hurried thoughtless response
Sometimes you need an ax. Sometimes you need a scalpel. A good leader knows how and when to use them both.
