FAQs

What is your confidentiality policy?

As I am a private person myself, I take confidentiality very seriously. Simply put, what is discussed during coaching sessions is not my business to tell and I will not share the contents of our discussions with anyone unless authorized by the client. There is a confidentiality statement in the coaching agreement contract signed by the client and myself.

How can I benefit from working with you even though you have no experience in my profession?

One of the things I love about coaching is that the basic premises of coaching apply to all professions, ages, races, and interests. As a coach I am trained to coach the person and not the problem. For example, you may be a 3rd grade teacher having difficulty motivating a certain student. Though I have never been a 3rd grade teacher our session would be centered around me asking you questions that would stimulate thought in directions not previously explored. Then, we would work together to formulate actionable steps to motivate the student in the classroom. You already have the answers; it’s my job to pull them out.

Can’t my best friend or spouse offer me the same things as you are offering?

Here are ways our relationship would differ from your best friend or spouse:
I have the ability to be more objective.
I listen without judgement. Our time is all about you.
There is no requirement for you to give me space to talk.
I am trained to ask the right questions. You can say what you feel without worrying about my feelings.
We are done discussing a subject when you say we are done discussing.

What does a typical coaching session look like?

It is important for you to know that your session is exactly that; yours. You dictate what we discuss.
